Weather conditions in Lucknow have taken a noticeable turn as clouds, gusty winds, and chances of rain replace the recent dry heat. According to the India Meteorological Department, the city is likely to witness light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning, especially during evening hours.
The sudden change is being driven by an active western disturbance along with a cyclonic circulation over North India. As a result, residents may experience strong winds ranging between 40–50 km/h, brief showers, and cloudy skies over the next couple of days.
Temperatures in Lucknow remain relatively high, with daytime highs hovering around 34–36°C, while minimum temperatures stay near 22–24°C. However, the presence of moisture in the air is increasing humidity levels, making conditions feel warmer than usual despite cloud cover.
Over the next few days, weather is expected to stay unstable with intermittent rain, thunderstorm activity, and occasional gusty winds. A slight dip in temperature is possible midweek, followed by a gradual rise again as skies begin to clear.
Residents are advised to remain cautious during thunderstorms, avoid open areas during lightning activity, and plan travel accordingly as sudden weather changes may cause short-term disruptions.
